Fuck
the NEA Project
All
donations will go to fund many art projects of the AK-47!!
Don't let the government spend your money on art.
Spend your own money on art and support who you want.
NEA stands for National Endowment for the Arts.
With this the NEA only supports big named
artist and basically big red art!!
Quote" If it's big and red you famous" by anonymous artist.
with this in mind I decided to take grant funding in my own hands.
Being a small artist with a big mouth and obnoxious look i decided that this
system would
just not take me seriously or just be to scared of what i might create.
So this project was launched.
I will be standing on public street corners asking for your support personally.
So if you see the AK-47 out do grant work for the arts,
remember to support the small guys!!!
We need more support then the big guys!!!!!

God We Trust
Another
project started to involve people with art in a more graffiti like style.
You might find this project anywhere. This project deals with
two huge loaded icons and putting them together and making people look at
them both. How people use God
for money and make money there God.
Art
Whore
Yes, if you're an artist then you know this all too well: we
sell ourselves short to that damn art world to survive. Yes, we all sell our
souls to the devil and become art whores. We all want to stay pure and true
to our art and ourselves, but the fact remains, money dictates our very existance.
Do you think Warhol would have kept silkscreening if he hadn't sold anything?
Any big named artist, after a while, just makes what sells. They're just so
big, anything they touch will sell. The fact remains, money is what the art
world listens to, not the art. This project of graffiti-like art will end
up in galleries, museums, and various art functions.
Yes, don't think that I don't know: I've already sold my soul to the devil.
Sad to say, I'm an Art Whore, too.

WASTE
PROJECT
The
waste project will consist of 4 to 6 weeks of collecting trash from an apartment
complex. The point of this Waste Project is to see how much recycled material
we throw away instead of recycling it and using it again. I will go threw
the trash collected and separate out the recyclable material into piles from
the waste. I’m using an apartment complex for the reason it gives us
a group of all different people. This project is not to separate any one person
out but as people in general. Also this project is to make us aware of how
much trash we actually do throw away. We never really know how much trash
we actually throw away because it is always taken away from our eyes. It’s
collected and piled into a huge pile that doesn’t go away but just gets
bigger. This project isn’t to point the finger but just to make us a
little more aware of our waste and to try to maybe make a little less waste
by recycling.
WEEK 1 – cleaned gallery
made signs to organize trash piles and put them up in gallery.

WEEK
2
– started to collect trash from apartment complex. Collected 12 bags
basically filled my car and there was still trash at apt. complex. I basically
condensed down the waste to three bags all the rest was some kind of recyclable
material. I could have probably got it down to even two bags but there was
just some trash I was unwilling to go through.
Things of interest I found
Dildo
2 bowls with weed still packed in pipe
Several art supplies

WEEK 3 – Again back to
apartment complex to collect trash. The trash pile at the complex wasn’t
as big as last week. I filled my car with trash again and took it to the gallery
for sorting. I got about 10 bags of trash this week. When I got to the gallery
the gallery is starting to smell like trash. I think I need more deodorizer
and freshener. I’m a little worried project might get shut down due
to smell. After sorting the trash I condensed 10 bags of trash to 2 bags of
waste. As of right now I’ve taken 22 bags of trash and made 5 bags of
waste and all the rest of the trash is all some kind of recycling material.
There is still a lot of recycled material that did get thrown away because
it was just too nasty to go through or just beyond any help of recycling or
it has already started to take its course.
Things of interest I found
A you’re a good man Charlie Brown Opera CD
A over abundant amount of lingerie
A stack of 10 porno magazines
And what I feared 1 used syringe

WEEK
4 – Back to apartment complex to collect trash again.
This week I got about 11 bags of trash out of the trash pile. I left some
furniture, carpet, and one pretty smelly bag that just smelled like death.
Oh and I left about 4 bags of kitty litter. No sense going through that. I
did get the smell in the gallery pretty under control. I got some deodorizers
and taped off the vents to keep the smell from blowing around the gallery.
There is still some talk it might get shut down but I at least hope to do
the project for one more week. I’ll keep you informed on this. As of
right now I’ve got trash to go through. Wow I’ve got 11 bags of
trash down to three bags of waste. That’s now 33 bags of trash condensed
down to 8 bags of waste and 25 bags of recyclable material. I know that I
could have it down to less but because of the paper products being wet or
plastered with food or other indescribable things it’s just not in any
kind of recyclable condition. I’m sort of bummed I couldn’t get
more recycled material out of this batch. But I got to keep the gallery in
good condition and keep it sanitary.
Things I found of interest
Tommy the Who album
God please save me book
A strand of X-Mass lights
A magazine of Pete Rose breaking 3000 hits

WEEK5
– Back at it again. I arrived at the apartment complex and there was
again more trash then I could take. My car holds about 13 bags of trash. I
left one computer and two bags of trash which the animals had gotten to. I
also left some dog poo, cat litter bags, and some other furniture as well.
Other then that, I did get just about everything else from the apartment complex.
So I now have collected 13 bags of trash this week that makes 46 bags of trash
in total. Well see how much waste to recyclable material there is this week.
Well I condensed down 13 bags of trash to 3 bags of waste and all the rest
was some kind of recycling material. That’s 46 bags of trash taken and
gone through and out of it I only have 11 bags of waste and all the rest of
it was recyclable. That’s 35 bags that could have been recycled or should
I say is going to be recycled. This is the final week of the waste project
and it will be on display at the Art Academy of Cincinnati in the basement
gallery. It will only be up for display Monday February 11 threw Thursday
February 14 due to smell.
Things of interest I found
2 more dildos
1 pocket pussy
4 more porn magazines
1 bottle of insulin
And one whole trash bag of used Kleenex

THE CONCLUSION – basically even though the waste project is over. The real battle has just begun. You can continue the waste project by yourselves or have me continue it for you. The waste project was meant for us to open our eyes up and look at our waste a little differently. I hope that this project made you think about what you can do if you choose to accept this project. I choose to continue this waste project at other people’s houses and to create an art piece to document this project. The waste project was not meant to point fingers but to get people more involved with this ongoing problem that disappears every week. The problem doesn’t disappear it just grows somewhere else. It might not be in your front yard but it is in your world.
LIVING
IN A TERRORIST STATE
This project is a response to all the war and chaos we live in today. Life
has become a life of fear. We feel that we are always on the edge of something
bad happening to us. We trust nothing that is different then ourselves. Everything
is a threat. It’s gotten so bad that even the sight of a box could be
a threat of a bomb. We run around trying to defuse every threat and safe everyone
from terror. War always creates enemies and money always creates greed and
power. With this war were in I’m sure we’ve created more enemies
and have killed more innocent people then we care to admit. War is always
in the name of helping people but the sub contexts is always money, politics,
power and the almighty ego of the united states government. This project is
to show the fear we live in. We created this fear by putting fear into the
hearts of innocent people through war. If you are not of our beliefs and do
not believe in our countrys ways or conflict with our interests we will use
our power to make you part of what we think is best for you. This is not freedom
but terrorism.
I will dress up in a hazmat suit and go around to restaurants, coffee shops, and public places leaving messages in small black boxes and black briefcases. I’m sure it will create fear and uneasiness in the public and I might be asked to leave for that very reason. Having anyone that could be threatening, militant, or possibly a terrorist around in public will show the same uneasiness other people go through on a daily basis because they live in a war we created. We here in America live in a world of blindness to the cold world of war. Even though the sub context of fear is with us everyday. We still choose to not to see the cold side of what we do to others that don’t comply with us or accept our beliefs. I’m lucky I do live in the United States because it gives me the right to express my view points through artwork. With that being said this project is launched.
My hopes
for this project are to show and make people feel fear and uneasiness about
a war were in. I want to do this outside the galleries because you can only
get true emotional response from someone by doing the unexpected not going
to the expected. Plus galleries promote sales and artwork that sells. They
are less promoting of cutting edge artwork that challenge the viewer and the
subject matter. Galleries art is safe were art in public is unpredictable
and can go anywhere as well as do anything with no boundaries. I also want
the outside public to dictate the artwork as well as I creates the artwork.
The actual artwork will be the performance but the material artwork will be
the boxes I leave behind. I will also document the artwork so galleries can
show the art to the art world. Plus the art will be safe or will it?
